Bindu is the seed. From the most subtle chakra Ajna, in the third eye. Bindu is far subtler than Ajna. Bindu comes from the sanskrit root bind and it signifies the origins of individuality, the point where oneness first divides itself to produce the world of multiple forms. Literally meaning seed, it is the core of all things. The essence of creation, it resides at the center of our being. One might suggest that disconnected from it we are merely sleep-walking through life. What we tend grows, what we focus on manifests. The bindu needs to be nurtured so it can grow. Yoga awakens the bindu. “Raising the Bindu” is the title of this blog dedicated to awakening our bindu and the core of our intelligence and creativity: the essence of our creation.
